"Let’s lead the struggle against AIDS and continue to keep the promise"

“Lead – Empower – Deliver” is the slogan that marks the 20th anniversary of the World AIDS Day (WAD). Positive responses have been given to the epidemic since 1988, when the WAD was established; however Africa still faces great challenges. The African Development Bank has been a partner of governments in this fight. From 1997 to 2007, the Bank has provided around US$ 223.245 million to fund projects on HIV/AIDS in regional member countries. Read More
